PROM
I tried to put pictures up last week but I couldn't get them to download. I think I figured it out.
I went to prom with 4 other couples. It was a blast. Instead of going out for dinner we had a progressive dinner at six different houses so that all of the parents could see how we looked. We ate for about 4 hours by the time we had been to all of the houses. We only went to the dance for about half an hour when the power went out. we then stayed for 15 more minutes and the power didn't come back on so we left and went formal camping (we huddled inside around a lantern (for the light and warmth) while the power was still out). then 40 minutes later the power came on. we played the Wii. It was fun even though all the boys won.
For prom i deiced to be a match maker. 2 of my friends didn't have date so I set them with some boys from Douglas. One of my friends broke up with her boyfriend and didn't want to go with him so i found her date. Another friend wanted to go with a boy and he didn't have a date. I asked him who he would want to go with and he said my friend or another girl. After making sure that she wouldn't reject him, he decided to ask her. Every one went in my group and i was glad that they all liked their dates and had fun

600 students try out and about 80 of those 600 make it. It is the best 80 high school students in all of northern Nevada. I was able to make it this year, I made it in 7th, 8th, 9th and now this year. Unfortunately I didn't make it last year. But I'm back for this year.

Fugitive
Last night I went to a 40 acre field and played fugitive. How it works...2 people are on a four wheeler as cops and they are looking for the fugitives who are trying to get to a destination without getting caught. We played 6 times ands i only got caught once. It was a ton of fun, even though it was raining.

Soccer is done!
Soccer is finally done. We ended the season with 3-10-2. That 's 11 points (3 points for a win and 1 point for a tie) that's a school record!!! I am glad that it is over. Soccer is one of the things you can't wait to start and can't wait for it to end. I had fun and am glad that I was on the Varsity team, I had a lot of fun with the girls. I have no idea what I'm going to do with my spare time now. Maybe I'll actually be home!

Yellow Crayon
You Are a Yellow Crayon |
Your world is colored with happy, warm, fun colors. You have a thoughtful and wise way about you. Some people might even consider you a genius. Charming and eloquent, you are able to get people to do things your way. While you seem spontaneous and free wheeling, you are calculating to the extreme. Your color wheel opposite is purple. You both are charismatic leaders, but purple people act like you have no depth. |
This one guy
I have had some requests to tell a little bit about Tyler. He is not my boyfriend, we are just friends and hang out often. I do like him, he is nice and fun to be with. He is quiet and shy. He is in my seminary and AP chemistry class. He was in my preschool class so i guess i have known him for a while, all but 4 years of my life.
Prom Dress
Yesterday I got material for my dress. My mom is going to make it again. It is going to be gold with a slit down the left side with white material with gold embroidered flowers in the opening. It is hard to describe so when it is done I'll have lots of pictures. Thanks Mom!
Soccer
This season we have won 3 games and tied 1 and lost 7 and we have 4 games left. This is the best Coach has ever done. Before this season, he had only won 1 game ever.

Ouch
A few weeks ago a girl kicked my knee and it started hurting. It finally started getting better and then I collided with Maddie. I could barely walk so the next day I went to the physical therapist. He said that I had strained my MCL and that my medial meniscus might be torn and would be out for at least 5 days of practice and 1 game. But my coach wouldn't let me play so i had to miss 3 games because he didn't want me to get hurt even more. Yesterday I finally got to play but only for 20 minutes. It was a good hard game but we lost 1 to 0.

We Won Again
On Tuesday we played DaMonte Ranch and we beat them 1-0. Carly scored. She is the highest scorer on our team. She has scored 6 goals and we have played 6 games. We are 4-1-1. It feels good to win...I am not used to it at all.
We Won
On Saturday the soccer team played Reno high and we won 2 to 0. Carly scored both goals. I like winning it is lots of fun. I think it is funny when girls from the other team say, " I can't believe we lost to Fallon."

Elko
This past weekend the soccer team went to Elko for a tournament. On Friday we played White pine and beat them 4 to 0. Later that day we played Elko JV and Varsity. We Scored on their Varsity but tied both of the games. On Saturday we played Elko's Varsity again and lost 3 to 0, and played Spring Creek and won 4 to 0. I am glad that our season started out pretty well.

Vacations
Last week end was spent in San Diego with my brother, sister, gramma and aunt. After a 9 hour drive we were ready to get out of the car but we got confused and went east instead of west. This added one hour to the trip so instead of 9 hours in the car we got to spend 10. yuck.
Spending time at the beach was lots of fun and relaxing. But once you are out of the sun for the day and you look like a lobster because you only put sunscreen on once it ends up for a ok day instead of a wonderful one.
After a long day of shopping, not getting much of anything and watching B try everything on, it was time for sushi. I was glad R was there because i had no idea what to order.
We got back on Monday and left with all of my family for Salt Lake Tuesday Afternoon.
Wednesday we went to Temple square it was amazing. I saw every thing except for the temple (from a distance) for the first time. We also saw the Joseph Smith: the Prophet of the restoration movie. It was so good, if you ever have the chance to watch it, do it, is worth it.
We were able to get together with our friends that moved to virginia. We haven't seen them in 2 or 3 years. It was fun catching up with them. We went bowling, swimming, shopping, to dinner and lunch, to a movie and played games with them. It was a blast.
Then on Saturday we got to sit in a car for another 7.5 hours on our way back home.

Family Fun
Last week end was spent at Twin Lakes with my Dad's side of the family. Unfortunately there were only 2 of 5 of my dad's siblings, and 3 of 6 cousins and gramma and grampa. It was fun even though the numbers were small. The lake was freezing cold...but I was able to swim all the way across. I shivered for about 30 minutes after i was finished, and was cold until I got into bed that night. It was fun seeing cousins and kayaking.
The last two days I have been at a family reunion at Eagle Lake with my Mom's side of the family. The days were warm and the nights were freezing. The water was warmer than twin lakes but not that warm. 7 of 23 cousins were there and 4 of 14 aunts and uncles. Once again the numbers were small but it was still fun seeing them and especially gramma and grampa. Playing games with the family is fun even if the little ones have no idea what they are doing they just want to play because the big kids are.
