Soccer

On Monday and Tuesday, two hours in the morning and at night, were soccer try outs. We had to do the beep test (sprints), sprint ladders, I was 11th of 36, juggle, I got 34 (that was one of the higher scores) and lots of ball drills, agressive drills and 4 v 4 up to 8 v 8.

Tuesday night we finaly got to know what team we were on.

Vacations

Last week end was spent in San Diego with my brother, sister, gramma and aunt. After a 9 hour drive we were ready to get out of the car but we got confused and went east instead of west. This added one hour to the trip so instead of 9 hours in the car we got to spend 10. yuck.

Spending time at the beach was lots of fun and relaxing. But once you are out of the sun for the day and you look like a lobster because you only put sunscreen on once it ends up for a ok day instead of a wonderful one.

After a long day of shopping, not getting much of anything and watching B try everything on, it was time for sushi. I was glad R was there because i had no idea what to order.

We got back on Monday and left with all of my family for Salt Lake Tuesday Afternoon.

Wednesday we went to Temple square it was amazing. I saw every thing except for the temple (from a distance) for the first time. We also saw the Joseph Smith: the Prophet of the restoration movie. It was so good, if you ever have the chance to watch it, do it, is worth it.

We were able to get together with our friends that moved to virginia. We haven't seen them in 2 or 3 years. It was fun catching up with them. We went bowling, swimming, shopping, to dinner and lunch, to a movie and played games with them. It was a blast.

Then on Saturday we got to sit in a car for another 7.5 hours on our way back home.

Family Fun

Last week end was spent at Twin Lakes with my Dad's side of the family. Unfortunately there were only 2 of 5 of my dad's siblings, and 3 of 6 cousins and gramma and grampa. It was fun even though the numbers were small. The lake was freezing cold...but I was able to swim all the way across. I shivered for about 30 minutes after i was finished, and was cold until I got into bed that night. It was fun seeing cousins and kayaking.

The last two days I have been at a family reunion at Eagle Lake with my Mom's side of the family. The days were warm and the nights were freezing. The water was warmer than twin lakes but not that warm. 7 of 23 cousins were there and 4 of 14 aunts and uncles. Once again the numbers were small but it was still fun seeing them and especially gramma and grampa. Playing games with the family is fun even if the little ones have no idea what they are doing they just want to play because the big kids are.
